Eclipse Electric, LLC. was founded in 2016 by Jessie Harwell, with the goal of offering friendly, reliable, and honest electrical services. Eclipse Electric offers a variety of services for residential and commercial locations throughout northern New Mexico, specializing in photovoltaic installations (solar electric). With a strong background in and a passion for solar installations, Eclipse Electric strives to provide renewable energy knowledge and equipment, while offering conventional electrical troubleshooting and installations as well.
Jessie began her career by pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at UNM. After working for only 6 months behind a desk, she decided to pursue a career as an electrician and leave the engineering field. She attended electrical trades school at TVI and began her apprenticeship as a solar electrician in 2005. With the exception of a 3 year break to develop the curriculum for and instruct a photovoltaic installation program at Central New Mexico Community College, Jessie has worked as an electrician since. She now holds both an EE-98 contractor’s license and EE-98J journeyman’s license with the state of New Mexico.

In addition, she noticed and brought to my attention a problem I was having with a breaker that was installed by a previous contractor that was not in spec and fixed that.

I needed to have an electric car charger installed with required a replacement of my meter box with a meter/ breaker box. After talking to a couple of other electricians who were proposing sort of a jury rigged solutions and who never got back to me when they said they would, I found Eclipse on Yelp. Jessie came when she said she would, got me numbers when she said she would and did the work on the day we agreed on. The work is clean and professional and I wouldn't hesitate to use Eclipse again.
Jessie installed new inset lighting in our bathroom after our previous contractor here in Albuquerque installed units that kept burning the lights out. Jessie explained that the flat roof left little room for the heat to dissipate and the space would require special units. They have worked great ever since! Jessie is friendly, professional and prices her work fairly. Highly recommend her!
